Capital one venture review

Capital One Venture is an excellent card that can be used anywhere. You will enjoy the benefits of no foreign transaction fees, a rewards program that offers 1.25x miles on every purchase, and you’ll never pay an annual fee for this card. This credit card review will go over all of the features of Capital One Venture to help you decide if it’s right for your needs!

Full Review

The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card has two different benefits that you can earn with this card, travel rewards and cashback on all your purchases. You will receive $500 bonus miles after spending $3000 in the first three months, which equals 50k points towards free flights or hotels rooms.

There are no foreign transaction fees when using it outside the US plus 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 12 months but not beyond that, so beware! I also like low-interest rates 11.99%-20.99% variable, No annual fee and good credit needed, up to 24/48 month 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfer.

But the card has some cons too. There are no rewards on purchases made outside the US, so it can be not very pleasant if you travel a lot between countries. The $95 annual fee after the first year makes this card not worth keeping in the long run unless you use it for at least 40k points or more per year because that would give you $400 cashback which is way better than keeping the card and paying 95$ fee.

Capital One Venture rewards credit card: Basics.

Card type: travel and cashback

Annual fee: $95 (first year free)

Sign-up bonus: 50,000 miles after spending at least $3000 in the first three months of opening an account. This equals about $500 worth for statement credit or flights/hotels rooms! So it’s a pretty good deal if you plan to use it a lot!

Credit Score: good credit required, at least 670

Rewards Rate: unlimited two miles per $ one on all your purchases! The cashback rate is also 0%, making this card an even better choice than other cards with low rates or ones that are not available to everyone because of the annual fee, so I would say the rewards rate here is excellent!

Foreign transaction fees: no foreign transaction fee when you use it outside the US, so I would say that is pretty awesome. There are other great benefits like 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers which last up to 24 months!

Why you might want the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card

It has two different types of rewards.

You can receive up to $500 per ticket if your flight is delayed more than 12 hours or requires an overnight stay! The cashback rate with this card is 0% which makes it great for anyone looking to save extra money on taxes/travel benefits, so I would recommend using this over other cards that might have low rates or ones that aren’t offered to everyone.

Rental cars are covered up to $100 per day for collision damage. Airline and hotel partners are Hilton, Marriott, and Starwood. Travel purchases are also reimbursed without the need to use your card.

You can transfer rewards if needed.

This makes it easier than having to spend them all at once! The cashback rate with this card is 0% which makes it great for anyone looking to save extra money on taxes/travel benefits, so I would recommend using this over other cards that might have low rates or ones that aren’t offered to everyone.

There’s a sign-up bonus.

It has a big sign-up bonus that you will love. For example, if you spend $3000 in the first three months, you’ll receive 50,000 miles (which has a value of around $500). I’m not sure if there’s an annual fee or not; this will depend on your situation and how much you use it.

Account opening is accessible.

Account opening is a breeze, and there’s no minimum spending requirement, which makes it great for anyone who wants to open an account before they start using it! Also, the cashback rate with this card is 0% which makes it great for anyone looking to save extra money on taxes/travel benefits, so I would recommend using this over other cards that might have low rates or ones that aren’t offered everyone.

You won’t get any foreign transaction fees.

This is a great card for anyone who travels outside of the country often! The cashback rate with this card is 0% which makes it great for anyone looking to save extra money on taxes/travel benefits, so I would recommend using this over other cards that might have low rates or ones that aren’t offered to everyone.

Trip delay insurance

If your flight is delayed more than 12 hours or requires an overnight stay, you can receive up to $500 per ticket for things like meals and hotel stays. In addition, in the event of a stolen wallet, trip cancellation/interruption coverage offers reimbursement of any nonrefundable transportation costs charged to your card in the event of theft, damage, or loss within 24 hours.

Travel accident insurance

Coverage for accidental death or dismemberment when you purchase your ticket(s) with this card! This is free and includes up to $100,000 in coverage, so it’s worth getting if you plan to take a trip soon! I would recommend this card for anyone looking to get away or stop using cashback cards because it’s way better than those!

Mobile purchase alerts

You will receive notifications about your purchases every time the card is used, which can be very helpful if you are spending too much money or do not control it.

Why you might want a different card

It has a low APR.

The rate is not the lowest out there, so if you’re looking for something with an even lower interest rate, this might not be the best card to choose! It isn’t meant for anyone group specifically; it’s great for anyone who wants to travel or save money when they do.

The cashback rate with this card is 0% which makes it great for anyone looking to save extra money on taxes/travel benefits, so I would recommend using this over other cards that might have low rates or ones that aren’t offered to everyone.

These no-fee cards have more value long after their 0% rates expire:

  • Chase ultimate rewards have a value of one cent per point, which makes them an excellent choice for anyone who wants to travel or save money when they do. The cashback rate with this card is 0% which makes it great for anyone looking to save extra money on taxes/travel benefits, so I would recommend using this over other cards that might have low rates or ones that aren’t offered to everyone.
  • The Discover it Cash Back has a cashback rate of 0%, which makes it great for anyone looking to save extra money on taxes/travel benefits, so I would recommend using this over other cards that might have low rates or ones that aren’t offered to everyone.
  • The Citi Double Cash Card has a cashback rate of 0%, which makes it great for anyone looking to save extra money on taxes/travel benefits, so I would recommend using this over other cards that might have low rates or ones that aren’t offered to everyone.
